Lakers Announce Their Regret

By Kelly Ouji (@KellysonFIRE)
Earlier this week the Los Angeles Lakers made an official $4.5 million contract with Mike Brown, becoming the head coach for the next 3- possibly 4 years. However, in an interview with LA Times Jim Buss, son of Jerry Buss, announced that he ‘regrets’ not discussing the hire with Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant. “Looking back on it, we should have contacted Kobe” stated Buss during the interview. Despite his regret, he did however state that he still believes that Brown is the right decision for the franchise and will help the team move forward and recover from their unexpected and shocking elimination from this year’s playoffs courtesy of the Dallas Mavericks. Bryant himself also stated that he supported the management’s decision and respected Brown as a coach. Although Brown has had experience with superstar LeBron James as a former Cavalier, I’m just a bit worried that Brown and Bryant will bump heads eventually. Definitely looking forward to see what Mike Brown has planned for the city of Angels, the Champs, and the loyal fans who also support him.
