Kitchen 24: The Only 24hr Diner + Bar in Hollywood

KITCHEN 24 “Hollywood’s only 24-hour diner & bar” opens in West Hollywood

Kitchen 24 located at 8571 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA is officially open. The first Kitchen 24 originated in Hollywood back in 2008 serving California American fare available twenty four hours a day. Being the primary restaurant serving everything from breakfast, burgers, cupcakes and pretty much anything around the clock, it soon established itself as a favorite among locals and celebrities.

The classic West Hollywood diner now contains a super long bar that wraps around the whole space including 37 beers and a variety of creative cocktails to choose from. But what every diner comes equipped with are milkshakes and what better way to enjoy one then to sip and sit in a room full of cream palette tones of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry.

With support of spacecraft architect Cara McConnell, Keith once again harmonized the interior aesthetic to match the theme of the Cahuenga location. He had stated that the new Kitchen 24 resembles a “1950s diner meets 2012” as one would automatically visualize entering the cafeteria like space enclosed by windows displaying mini graphic decals of beer mugs, silverware, and slices of cake. Charming cup and saucer combo light fixtures hang atop each booth.

The most extraordinary is the Flatware pendant lights, custom designed with LEDs located above round entrance booths and coffee room, now a separate section with its own barista. Original fiber glass tables are now imprinted with the Kitchen 24 logo, manufactured by the Sean Anderson surfboard company. Not only is the entire restaurant double in size but the biggest and possibly the best installment, is the large patio where customers can enjoy 24-hour outdoor dining. In 2008, AIA/Los Angeles announced Kristofer Keith as the recipient of the People’s Choice Award for best design concept and operational layout of Kitchen 24. We hope the West Hollywood community appreciates the new space just as much if not more.
