CreateACTivity


Noma is a gangrenous infection, typically affecting children under six and is purely caused by severe malnutrition and lack of sanitary water. The disease starts as an ulcer and progresses into the mucus membranes of the face leaving it’s victims with horrible facial disfigurements. There are approximately 140,000 new cases of Noma each year and 90% of those who encounter the disease die.
Because of the horrific physical and mental effects that Noma causes to its victims, createACTivity has chosen to raise awareness about the disease and fundraise for the most creditable organization we could find. This organization, Facing Africa, is currently working to reconstruct the facial disfigurements in order for these individuals to live a more functional life.
