When it comes to kart racing, you really can't go wrong, unless you're allergic to adrenaline or are an outright wuss!
The track here is cool and definitely has more straight-away areas to gain speed (unlike kiddie go-kart venues). Head gloves are provided so those of you concerned about germs don't have skin-to-skin contact with the helmets, and there are a large variety of helmets to choose from small to XXXlarge. As for pricing, they are very reasonable when compared to competitors and have deals all the time. Anyone can arrive and drive for an easy $20, or if you go with a group, they offer great group deals. With several locations throughout Southern Cal (Anaheim, Gardena, and Irvine), You should definitly check out K1 speed.
TIP: go during the week and later in the day, after work and school get out. There will be less of a crowd and they are open until 10:00 pm!
