A Race That Will Give You Wings!

Everybody knows that Red bull gives you wings, but what happens when Red bull is combined with Soapbox racing? Now you have a chance to find out for yourself!
Red bull has been putting on their annual Red bull Soapbox Race since 2006 in different locations around the world. However, the 2009 race in Los Angeles was such a success that Red Bull has decided once again to make 5th & Grand, in Downtown Los Angeles, their racing grounds! In 2009, the races drew a crowd of 111,000 people, and come May 21st of this year, even bigger crowds are expected! Both amateurs and experts are invited to design the most creative human-powered soapbox vehicles possible and compete in this downhill time-trial! The more outrageous the car the better-in the past, cars have resembled a cob of corn, the Golden Gate bridge, and even a rodeo clown, while racers often dress up themselves! The best part about Red Bull's Soapbox race? It's free for both spectators and participators! Although the deadline to enter to compete has passed, be sure to make your way Downtown to watch the festivities!
