The Lockout is over: We are thankful!

Thanksgiving week has given us one more thing to be thankful for. The NBA owners and the NBA Players Associations agreed to a tentative deal which will see a 66 - game season start on December 25th.

The two sides were rumored to be in negotiations for 15+ hours, starting yesterday (Friday 25th November) and going into the early hours of the morning. The Lockout is half a year old, it started slowly with no NBA summer league, and turned into the a cold, cold winter. Well it's still winter, but the there are sunny days on the forecast, at least Christmas day will be one of them.

Finally we can put to rest the the events of the last season. It feels like forever and a lifetime has passed since the LeBron took his talents to South Beach and the Mavericks told the rest of the league to "eat their Dirk." The fact that Kobe and the Lakers were swept is now a bedtime story and finally the 2K Sports update with the latest draft class will be available for download.

At this point the particulars of the deal are still cloudy and as fans, all we can do is continue to wait. However the promise of NBA play makes the wait so much easier and the reward just so much sweet
