Came across this status earlier today and feared the worse. Could Facebook really forsaken its millions of faithful users like this? Economically speaking the business aspect of it sounds legit on the other side of the equation. By making it mandatory that 50 million + people pay $3.99 to $9.99 for something they already love. Thats roughly $199,500,000-499,500,000 to be made per month. Not a bad month at the office if you ask Wall Street. But are you really going to have to call Grandma and explain that you two can't be friends on Facebook anymore because you can't afford it? "Say it ain't so". Some of my best friends are on Facebook! Would you pay to use Facebook?
First the split of Netflix now Facebook wants to charge us, yeah 2011 is the year that our obsessions were used against us. What a great set up for 2012.
