A Win for Cali!

On Saturday night, at the 2011 Miss USA competition, held at Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, California showed that it truly is the best state! Alyssa Campanella, a 21-year-old from California and former Miss California, was crowned Miss USA!


Campanella is no rookie to beauty pageants, as she won 2007 Miss New Jersey Teen USA, was first runner-up for 2007 Miss Teen USA, first runner-up for 2008 Miss New Jersey USA, and was 2011 Miss California USA.


This gorgeous red head was a shoe-in for the title. Her beauty, grace, and confidence when speaking made the swimsuit portion, the evening gown portion, and the particularly difficult interview question of legalizing marijuana, all a breeze.


Campanella will represent our country at the Miss Universe 2011 pageant in Sao Paulo, Brazil next September. Be sure to tune in and cheer her on!
