A look at Timothy Bloom

Worried about the future of music? Ever wonder what happened to real music & raw talent? Well, it never left – it’s just hidden in the form of Timothy Bloom, an R&B newcomer whose talent is hard to match, but don’t even try to place him in just one category. As a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, Bloom embodies a mix of rock, soul, gospel, and pop into all of his music. His storytelling lyrics are sure to move any listener, and his sultry harmonies and falsetto are bound to send chills down your spine.

Originally born in El Paso, Texas, Bloom grew up predominantly in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He played the drums and the piano for the choir at his father’s church. Secular music wasn’t allowed in the house, but that didn’t stop Bloom from exploring genres on the radio in the family’s car or figuring out that girls melt over poems and love songs.

He has traveled all over the world with his music, but last year he fell into hard times living out of his car. During this point in time, his brother told him he’d had a dream that Bloom passed away. The musician took the moment as inspiration to write his lead single, “’Til the End of Time.” Alongside V. Bozeman, another refreshing new musician, the song was written in only fifteen minutes.

“’Til the End of Time” became a truly beautiful video, and caused quite the Internet buzz with its sensuality. Currently, you can buy The Budding Rose EP on iTunes while we await his complete debut album, In Full Bloom, on Mosley/Zone 4/Interscope. Don’t give up on music just yet. Timothy Bloom is keeping it alive and well.
