A Sweet Time of Year

If you're looking for something different to do this May, look no further! Oxnard, CA, about an hour drive from Los Angeles, is hosting the annual California Strawberry Festival on May 21st and 22nd, at the Strawberry Meadows of College Park!
The first Strawberry Festival took place in 1984, and since then, it's grown to be regarded as one of the top festivals in the nation. Guests enjoy award-winning attractions, interactive exhibits, fun contests, popular entertainment, 200+ booths of arts and crafts, and of course, the largest selection of strawberry foods and beverages you can find! There are cooking demonstrations for Mom, and free rides and puppet shows for the kids. Even better, is that you'll be supporting California's agriculture and raising funds for a number of charities. So far, the California Strawberry Fest has donated over 3 million dollars to charity.

Don't miss the best-strawberry-recipe contest, the celebrity chef cooking demonstration, and learning how to grow your own strawberry garden! Take it from Carina Mejia, a resident of Burbank, CA, who attended her sixth Strawberry Festival last year: "My daughter loves the rides and I love the garlic fries and strawberry funnel cake." There truly is something for everyone!
Hours are 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, and tickets are only $12. To buy tickets online, visit: https://www.ghostcart.com/cart/storefront.php?store_name=strawberryfest
