Are The Lakers In Trouble?

source: ESPN.com
By Woody Liu
The Lakers may need another wake-up call, as if the 2-5 finish in the regular season wasn't already a slap in the face.  With the series tied at two games apiece, between the Lakers and the Hornets, the Lakers are clearly showing just how inconsistently a two-time defending championship team can play in the postseason.  Whether it is because of the 7-foot Spaniard's head stuck up in the clouds, or the lack of a defensive answer for the All-Star point guard Chris Paul, Lakers fans are definitely beginning to worry.

Lakers Go For Back-to-Back-to-Back Wins

derickhungle.photoshelter.com
The Los Angeles Lakers head into game 4 with a 2-1 lead in the series. The Lakers captured a victory over the New Orleans Hornet in game 3, with a score of 100-86, that catapulted them to first place. Now, the Lakers look to tonight's game to increase that lead to 3-1. Only 8 teams in the history of the NBA playoffs have been able to comeback from once being down 3-1. So, with a win tonight, the odds for the whole tournament will be in the Lakers' favor. If Andrew Bynum plays as well as he did in game 3, with a stat line of 14 points and 11 rebounds, the Lakers should have no problem beating the Hornets tonight. The game will be televised on KCAL and TNT. Be sure to tune in for the start at 6:30PM PT!

Series Tied at 1

The Lakers and the Hornets head into game 3 tonight with the series tied at 1 win a piece. This will be the first game of the series to take place in New Orleans and the Hornets will look to bounce back from a game 2 defeat. Hopefully our Los Angeles Lakers stop them in their tracks, take the game 3 win, and therefore, have the lead in the series. The game will be televised on KCAL and ESPN. Be sure to tune in for the start at 6:30PM PT!
