Me and my bikini

I go on holiday in a couple of days to Ayia Napa, and one of the most important things for me before I go is finding the perfect bikini. Just like finding the perfect lingerie, a good bikini needs to have a perfect fit. There’s nothing worse than seeing a girl with a top that’s too small or bottoms that are too big. A second thing for me when buying a new bikini, is that pretty is a must! You can’t beat a brightly colored bikini or one that's adorned with diamantes. For me, standing out is key, and some of the bikinis popular right now are perfect for this! Plus, they look even better with a tan, so you just can’t go wrong.

It's summer 2011, so why am I not enjoying it?

I got out of school for the summer a month ago, and I have yet to say “I LOVE THIS SUMMER” or “I'M HAVING A BLAST THIS SUMMER”. This summer, I've been working and sitting at home in my hot room, fanning myself, and complaining about how hot my room is… that’s pretty much sums up my summer activities. WHY does my summer suck?! Where are my drunken nights with friends? When will I wake up with a major hangover and not remember how I got home? Why haven’t I come home at 7am from a crazy night yet?

High Standard's founders scour the many thrift stores of Cali to find the perfect vintage denim and pieces, and then customize many of them, with studs and edgy embellishment. For all the work that goes into these one-of-a-kind pieces, the price range ($30-$50) truly is a steal!
