Change leading to disappointment is inevitable. When things change in a way you don’t want them to you will be mad, frustrated, and yes, disappointed. But that disappointment does not take you over. It opens new doors and reveals a life that you never thought was possible until the change happened. Disappointment leads you to your unimaginable future. Creating opportunities that never would have existed without that disappointing change. It challenges you to redefine yourself and unlocks ideas and dreams that you left behind. 

Change and disappointment are unavoidable, how you deal with it is up to you.

It might be worsening anger. It might involve growing addicted to something unhealthy or unsettling. Or change might result from medical issues—a stroke, a crippling accident, or the development of a mental disorder

It’s hard to give up old grudges. It’s hard to abandon old habits. It’s hard to see old friends walk away because they don’t like the new direction your life is taking as a follower of Christ. Just be sure of this: God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you"

We can be grateful that God does not change. He does not go back on His promises.

Just an ordinary thought

My ordinary is not yours. My ordinary is exceptionally compelling and outrageously wild with a dash of charisma and a pinch of odd, just for fun. Ordinary is usually seen as banal and bland, however, your ordinary is the most potent thing about you. You are all of yourself when you are ordinary. Being ordinary does not mean that you fit the stereotype or follow the crowd.

Depression and Understanding

I recently went through a phase where I was extremely depressed and angry. For what reason, I still do not know. I guess it's pressure; I want security, and I just want to be worry free. I was feeling like I’d been responsible for other people and their feelings, more than I have been for my own. It was really weighing down hard on me. I'd cry for no reason, stayed in my bed all day unless I had work, didn’t really try to connect with people or contact friends, and that’s just not like me. I didn't think anyone would fully understand what my life was actually like, or the thoughts that went through my head. I won’t fake a smile, or pretend to be happy when I’m sad, I just won't, and I physically can’t. If something is wrong with me, it will show on my face, you’ll hear it in my tone, and see it in my body language.

Keep the faith

"Keep the Faith, believe, don't give up..." Those are the words I keep hearing from everyone around me. I know deep inside my heart they are right, I won't throw in the towel that easily, but sometimes it's hard to keep yourself focused and motivated.

I've been job hunting lately. That really means I've been busy updating my resume, filling out applications, applying online, and Careerbuilder.com and Monster.com and I seem to be on a first name basis right now. They fill my inbox with hopes of a dream job, and leave me empty handed, feeling disheartened and frustrated every time.

True love doesn't have a happy ending, because true love never ends. Letting go is one way of saying I love you.

Do you ever walk out your house worrying what people will think about the way you look? Do you only listen to the songs your friends listen to? Do you hide your feelings a lot? Well, I think you should stop right there! You don’t live to please people, you live to please yourself, and only what YOU think matters.

Say someone asks you ‘’Why are you wearing those shoes with that outfit?’’ DON’T back down and say "Sorry" or change them, and DON’T start an argument about it, but DO reply with another question which puts them on the spot, like ‘’Why are you so interested?’’ This way you aren’t being rude or feeling bad about yourself. Win!

You never leave someone behind, you take a part of them with you and leave a part of yourself behind..

How many people do you know who are truly happy? How many times a day do you feel completely content and satisfied with where you're at and what you're doing? Being happy seems like such a simple idea, so why is it so hard for us to find happiness and keep it?

Usually, we feel happy when something "good" happens to us. I have news for you. Things happen to us. They are neither good or bad. We control whether they are good or bad. How the hell do we do that? With our minds. Yup, you heard right. With our minds!
